All vehicle rentals in Camden will adhere to a comprehensive Rental Agreement provided at the time of booking or vehicle pickup. In cases of discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement prevails.

Booking and Payments
- Reservations for our car hire services can be made online, via phone, or directly at our Camden office. To confirm your booking, a deposit may be necessary. Full payment and a security deposit are generally required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, ensuring secure transactions through trusted payment processors.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of collection, it is essential to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed at this time. When returning the vehicle, it should be in the same state as it was collected, accounting for normal wear and tear. Late returns may incur additional charges; please notify us promptly if you foresee any delays. - All rentals come with basic third-party insurance included. You will find comprehensive coverage details and any applicable excess amounts outlined in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to further limit your financial liability. It is wise to review these options thoroughly. You will be liable for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess amount unless you opt for extra coverage. Damage resulting from negligence or misuse remains your responsibility, irrespective of insurance provisions.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice provided. Please check your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for specific terms. Be mindful that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges, impacting your overall rental experience.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- Vehicles are prohibited from being used for any unlawful activities. Activities such as racing, off-roading, or other reckless driving are not allowed. The transportation of hazardous materials is strictly forbidden. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is not permitted. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is illegal. It is also prohibited to exceed passenger or weight limits, or to drive outside the designated geographical boundaries without prior approval.
Breach of terms may lead to rental cancellation and fees.
Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Camden will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total amount you paid for your rental in the past twelve months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence or fraud.
9. Legal Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in this region.
